PELLTA's first special interest group (SIG) is the Extensive Reading SIG which was officially formed on 28 October 2017 with the first meeting of SIG members and election of a pro-tem committee. During the 2018 Annual general meeting, an election was held and the first Extensive Reading SIG committee was officially installed. The current ERSIG committee comprises:
