5 August 2023: This workshop by Professor Paul Kei Matsuda from Arizona State University was indeed an eye-opener for the participants as he led them through a series of activities and shared insights in how AI can be exploited for the teaching of writing in their classrooms.

21 October 2023: In this workshop, Datin Indranee Liew shared great teaching ideas to guide learners to write their own crime fiction. Drawing from Sherlock Holmes novels, she showed how learners can be guided to a better understanding of the genre of crime fiction and be inspired and engaged in their writing tasks.

17 June 2023: In conjunction with PELLTA's 34th AGM, members enjoyed an interesting, interactive and enlightening workshop by Dr. Darcey Gray from the US Embassy Dept. of State. Dr. Gray had the participants actively involved in various co-operative learning activities to illustrate how the teachers can engage their learners in the four language skills for daily practice.

22 July 2023: This interesting webinar on using TikTok and Flip to engage English language learners was conducted by Assoc. Prof Singhanat Nomnian and Cheewin Wattanasin from Thailand TESOL. They shared ideas, tips and strategies on how to use these digital tools effectively in their language classrooms. Both speakers spoke from their experiences in using these tools and shared samples from their online materials.

29 Oct. 2022: This Saturday morning workshop was conducted by Leong Mi-Chelle, a PELLTA committee member and a lecturer at UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College. It was a hands-on workshop where participants tried their hands at creating some exciting activities using applications such as Baamboozle. Everyone had a great time experiencing the creative and interesting ideas shared by the facilitator.

4 March 2023: PELLTA's first event for 2023 was facilitated by Marcella Caprario from Arizona State University, USA and a Fulbright scholar. She guided the participants through a series of lively activities and got them to interact and share ideas and experiences with each other. The workshop was well-attended by a diverse group of student teachers, teachers and even retirees.

28 May 2022: This insightful webinar by Dr. Monita Leavitt, a gifted education consultant and specialist from the USA, was held in conjunction with PELLTA 33rd. AGM. Dr. Leavitt highlighted the fact that gifted children should be provided with appropriate learning activities to help them reach their full potential.

6 Aug. 2022: This physical workshop by Assoc. Prof. Jonathan Newton from Victoria University of Wellington, NZ, was highly interactive with activities to get everyone thinking about how they can restock their teacher toolkits using the PERMA model of well-being: Positive emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning and Achievements.
